Description
Summary:The prime objective of this study was to assess the impact of microcredit on the household health care expenditure of the fish farmers in Bangladesh. Primary data was collected from the landless, marginal and small fish farmers from Tangail and Gazipur districts of Bangladesh. The simple random sampling (SRS) technique was used to select the samples for this study. The propensity score matching (PSM) technique was also used to assess the impact of microcredit on the household health care expenditure. The study showed that the intervention of microcredit could not make any significant impact on the health care expenditure.
