Impact of Plaque Burden on Compensatory Enlargement of Coronary Arteries in Cardiac Allograft Vasculopathy
Using intravascular ultrasound, Pethig et al demonstrated plaque-induced compensatory enlargement of coronary arteries in cardiac allograft vasculopathy. Besides intimal hyperplasia, adaptive remodeling processes of vessel and luminal geometry have physiologic and prognostic importance.
