Description
Summary:Regular features of formation of structural-phase states in Ag–Cu bimetallic nanoparticles produced under the conditions of a simultaneous electrical explosion of copper and silver wires are investigated. It is shown that during a synchronous and non-synchronous electrical explosion of wires bimetallic nanoparticles are formed with a number-average size of 75–82 nm. The phase composition of the samples represents the phases based on solid solutions of copper and silver. The results of the studies allow making a conclusion that a simultaneous electrical explosion of copper and silver wires can yield Ag–Cu bimetallic nanoparticles with a different content of the components, which determines the structural-phase states and the properties of the resulting nanoparticles.
