Description
Summary:Overweight and obesity are significant public health problems in the United States. The number of obese or overweight children and adolescents has reached epidemic levels in recent years. Children and adolescents who are overweight or obese are at increased risk for serious health conditions, many of which were formerly considered adult conditions. Even very young children are at risk of becoming obese. Efforts to prevent and control obesity must involve both parents and the community. There are many web resources available to assist in this endeavor.
