A ternary phase diagram equilibrated with molten copper was calculated from model parameters5 for the slag system (Figure 4). The equilibrium oxygen concentration in liquid copper was also measured by Coursol et al.5 for the CaO-Cu^sub 2^O and Na^sub 2^O-Cu^sub 2^O binary systems.
