Description
Summary:The processes of separation of impurities of particles of different sizes are analyzed under conditions of irregularity of structural and kinematic parameters of a fast sheared gravity flow of granular materials on a rough slope using mathematical model of distributions of impurity concentration in the flow and comparing calculation results with experimental data. It was found that separation of impurities of large particles is essentially a consequence of relaxation of stresses generated on these particles as concentrators of local stresses and that separation of small particle occurs with dominance of the effect of quasi-diffusion separation of particles under conditions of spatial irregularity of distribution of the solid phase. Methods for separation process intensification are identified.
