Essential Oil Composition of Arbutus unedo L. Leaves from Algeria

Water-distilled essential oil from leaves of Arbutus unedo L. of Algerian origin was analysed by GC-MS. Approximately 95 % of the components were identified among which palmitic acid (35.2 %), linoleic acid (18.8 %) and p-cresol, 2,6-di-tert-butyl- (6.2%) were the major constituents.
