Description
Summary:A one-step method to synthesize graphene/CuNPs on Si/SiO2 substrates has been developed. CuNPs with high uniform distribution and continuous graphene sheets were simultaneously obtained through a high-temperature annealing process that uses the same conditions as graphene growth. [Display omitted] Developing facile techniques to control the formation of combined structures of graphene and metal nanoparticles are key to realizing the various conceptual applications based on plasmonic substrates. Here, we report simultaneous formation of continuously grown graphene sheets by wrapping copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) formed in a state of transition from a pre-evaporated copper film during the annealing process. The morphologies and electrical and optical responses of graphene/CuNPs were characterized by varying the thickness of the copper film. We believe that this technique can be further applied to realize various electronic, optical, and catalytic applications.
