Summary:	Lipomas are common benign soft tissue tumors and usually occur in the back, neck and shoulder regions. Intraoral lipomas are infrequent, and its occurrence in the tongue is uncommon. Owing to the unusual site and a possible correlation to traumatic etiology, we report a case of lingual lipoma in a 75-year-old male.
