Description
Summary:Carbon nanoparticles and multiwall carbon nanotubes were deposited on an Optically Transparent Electrode (OTE) for application in Dye Sensitised Solar Cells (DSSCs) as counter electrode materials. Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) was used to evaluate the behaviour in a I 3 − / I − electrolyte solution. Results were compared to commercial Pt catalysed OTE and polycrystalline graphite. Multiwalled carbon nanotubes show low series resistance and low charge transfer resistance promising an improved fill factor (and efficiency) in DSSCs assembled with such materials as counter electrodes.
