Description
Summary:Although hydatid disease may affect any organ of the body, there are only a limited number of cases where the primary lesion is in the retroperitoneal region. Since the clinical and laboratory findings are nonspecific, the correct preoperative diagnosis may be difficult. A primary retroperitoneal hydatid cyst that was given a preoperative diagnosis of adrenal mass and treated by adrenalectomy and partial nephrectomy is presented and discussed with the relevant literature.
