Binding Constants of Maackia Amurensis Whole Extract and its Separate Flavanoids to Estradiol Receptors

Extract of Maackia amurensis containing genistein and resveratrol demonstrated competitive specific binding to estradiol receptors with more affinity for ERβ (average RBA = 6.25%) than for ERα (average RBA = 0.67%) in tests with experimental animals and clinical materials (endometrium biopsy). Description
Summary:Extract of Maackia amurensis containing genistein and resveratrol demonstrated competitive specific binding to estradiol receptors with more affinity for ERβ (average RBA = 6.25%) than for ERα (average RBA = 0.67%) in tests with experimental animals and clinical materials (endometrium biopsy). Associated flavonoids in the extract bound insignificantly to ERs although they could have a potentiating effect in the whole extract. Therefore, M. amurensis extract contained various phytoestrogens that determined the therapeutic potential (effect on cell growth, inflammation, apoptosis, angiogenesis, carbohydrate and lipid metabolism).
