Summary: | The method of images (MI) is an elementary concept in electromagnetism, which is a fundamental course in electrical engineering. In this work, the surface charge density of a conductive sphere in the inductive electrostatic field of a uniformly charged ring is analysed with MI. Meanwhile the surface charge distribution of this sphere is discussed when the sphere is at different positions of the axis of this ring. This work is aimed to help students understand MI and lay a solid foundation of electrical engineering learning. |
