Description
Summary:•Low cost lithium ion conductor LAGP sheet has been made by tape casting method.•LAGP shows a high ion conductivity of 3.38×10−4Scm−1, comparable with commercial Ohara LATP.•The thickness of the LAGP sheet can be controlled to about 75μm. Solid-state lithium ionic conducting ceramic thin film Li1.4Al0.4Ge1.6(PO4)3 is prepared by tape casting method. The thermal decomposition of the green tape is investigated by TG/DTA analysis. And the sintering parameters are optimized in air. The resultant sample shows a total lithium ionic conductivity of 3.38×10−4Scm−1 at 25°C and activation energy of 30.57kJmol−1. The thickness of the tape sheet can be controlled to be about 75μm. The ionic conductivity of the prepared sample reported in this study is comparable with those reported for commercial LATP plate, showing the potential application for lithium-air batteries.
