Magnetic properties of heat-treated steels after dynamic and static demagnetization

The influence of demagnetization methods on the character of the initial magnetization curves of hardened and tempered steel U8A has been studied. Description
Summary:The influence of demagnetization methods on the character of the initial magnetization curves of hardened and tempered steel U8A has been studied. It has been established that the structural sensitivity of hysteresis properties of steels U8A and 60C2A changes with changes in the amplitude values of both magnetization-reversing fields and induction. Recommendations for testing the quality of medium- and high-temperature tempering of articles produced from these steels are given.
