Summary: | In the absence of documented conclusions concerning the problems of recertification, the author suggests carrying out a few experiments prior to embarking on an elaborate program. Perhaps one or two specialities could conduct programs to investigate the consequences of training and the giving of examinations to various age groups, comparing the work of those with and those without recertification. After analysis of the results, it might be appropriate to embark in a step-wise fashion on rigorous and clearly defined methods of recertification. |
