Description
Summary:A transistor generator of microsecond voltage pulses with an amplitude of up to 40 kV, which contains an unstabilized power source, a low-voltage capacitive energy storage device, and a step-up pulse transformer, is considered. It allows one to efficiently recover the energy reflected from a load upon a sharp change in its electrical resistance and provides a highly stable (with a spread below 5%) value of the charging voltage of the capacitive storage device (1 kV), which does not change upon changes in the operating conditions from short circuit to idle operation. The results of testing the generator at an output-voltage pulse repetition frequency of up to 1 kHz are presented and the possibility of its significant increase is shown.
