Description
Summary:The reflectance spectra of the side face of the PbSb 2 Te 4 crystal are for the first time recorded under polarized light in the range of wave numbers 50–4000 cm –1 at room temperature. It is shown that the crystal is highly anisotropic in the directions parallel and orthogonal to the layers of the crystal. The observed specific features of the spectra are attributed to the contribution of plasma oscillations and crystal-lattice vibrations. The parameters of the dielectric function calculated in the context of the Drude–Lorentz model are in agreement with the experimental data.
