Description
Summary:The features of structure formation in polytetrafluoroethylene filled with 10 and 30 vol % of aluminum after static and explosive pressing have been studied. It has been revealed that, after static pressing in the process of sintering, interfacial separation occurs, which is confirmed by the formation of structures of the “closed buds” type. After explosive pressing with sintering between polytetrafluoroethylene and aluminum, fibrils and a polymer layer covering the metal particles are found, and there is no interfacial separation, which indicates the formation of a strong adhesive bond and is confirmed by the formation of aluminum fluoride.
