Summary: | In preparation process of functionally graded materials with a composition transition along the torch-traveling direction by dual-wire arc additive manufacturing, large difference in wire feed speed between the two wires will lead to poor shaping, and nonuniform microstructure and mechanical properties. To solve this issue, the wire feeding strategy was improved. The droplet transfer using up-and-down layout of the two wires was more advantageous and effectively improved shaping accuracy and uniformity of microstructure and hardness. |
