Description
Summary:The Mint Theater in New York City, whose mission is to bring "new vitality to worthy but neglected plays," has recently given life to characters who, until now, have lain quietly between the covers of the 1938 The Fifth Column and the First FortyNine Stories ("About"). The 1938 publication provides a definitive edition of the script, and Bank, along with set designer Vicki R. Davis, follows Hemingway's stage directions to the minutest detail, down to the "large war poster" separating rooms 109 and no of the Hotel Florida (TFC 12-13).
