Beginning with a focus on corpus linguistics, the discussion also includes English linguistics more generally and linguistics as a whole. Mehl argues that linguists should care about DH, not only because much of that they do if DH (even if it is not always recognized as such) but also because collaborations between English linguistics and DH will be fruitful.
