Description
Summary:[Display omitted] •A simple, fast and sensitive method for the determination of mancozeb is proposed.•The limit of detection was 5.14×10−7molL−1.•The determination of mancozeb exhibited relative error values lower than 2%. This work describes the determination of mancozeb in insecticide samples using batch injection analysis (BIA) with pulsed amperometric detection (PAD) on boron-doped diamond (BDD) electrodes. The BIA amperometric parameters were evaluated and the best responses were achieved in phosphate solution at pH 9.0, using a detection potential of 0.3V, cleaning potential of 0.0V, dispensing rate of 160μLs−1 and injection volume of 100μL. A linear analytical curve was observed in the 40–650μmolL−1 range, with a detection limit of 5.14×10−7molL−1. The determination of mancozeb in the insecticide samples proved to be in agreement with the standard iodometric titration (CIPAC method), with a 95% confidence level and with a relative error lower than 2%. In this way, the BIA–PAD method presented a fast response, high sensitivity, good repeatability and good reproducibility.
