Summary:A typical construction for extensions of T 0 generalized topological spaces (in short, GTS) is introduced and studied. A precise description for such extensions to be  μ -compact is also established. The construction of compactification of spaces in terms of grills follow as a special case of the results obtained in this paper, as  μ -compactness of a GTS is a generalization of compactness of topological spaces.
