This research focuses on replacing the manual attendance recording system into an automated one and also maintaining the attendance records, i.e., percentage of attendance with higher accuracy. The proposed methodology in this undertaking is the improvement of internet of things-based RFID attendance system. Currently, RFID technology has been widely used in various fields such as agriculture, transportation, sales and in many other sectors. Apart from these sectors, this technology can also be utilized for automating attendance taking system in educational sectors too. The normal method of taking attendance manually is usually a time consuming one and also there is a probability of error. This manual method may also lead to misconducting and also there is wastage of valuable time. In order to overcome this problem, the present manual attendance taking system can be replaced by a smart attendance system by implementing RFID technology. This research pretends much useful for the staff members and making the attendance taking process in an easiest and efficient way.
