Summary:The detailed electron temperature profile (spatial resolution: 0.86 cm) of a low density JFT-2M plasma is measured with the TV Thomson scattering system (TVTS). Flat profiles showing the electron temperature shapes of m = 2 n = 1 islands are presented, which are in contrast to that without islands. On the other hand, the m = 2 n = 1 islands are effectively suppressed with local ECRH heating.
