Summary: | Positive experience has been gained in using shells of heat-resistant 03Kh18Yu3BT steel with external insulation instead of shells of St3 sheet steel with an inner layer of concrete or fireclay brick for the gas-intake shafts of tract L at the Kharanor State Regional Power Plant (GRÉS). The new gas-intake shafts have made it possible to reduce the weight of the structure by a factor of 3 – 4 and maintenance is less complicated. |
