Description
Summary:Explored was the SHS reaction of Ti-Hf, Zr-Hf, and Ti-Zr-Hf alloys with hydrogen. The reaction of compacted alloys with hydrogen and deuterium could be carried out without preliminary crushing. Hydrogenation of the alloys yielded hydrogen-rich hydrides with H/Me = 2.0−2.28. Crystal structure of the synthesized hydrides was found to depend on composition of starting alloys. Repeated hydrogenation-dehydrogenation cycles did not affect the hydrogen content of hydrides.
