A simple and efficient synthesis of 3-amino-5-benzyl-6-phenylpyridazine-4-carbonitrile

3-Amino-5-benzyl-6-pyridazine-4-carbonitrile has been synthesized by the reaction of 4-substituted thiosemicarbazides with (2,3-diphenylcyclopropen-1-ylidene)propanedinitrile. The structure of the pyridazine derivative has been confirmed unambiguously by single crystal X-ray crystallography.
