Thevinoic acid fluoroalkyl esters

Reaction of thebaine with β-fluoroalkyl acrylates proceeds regioselectively and gives fluoroalkyl thevinoates, which can be used to prepare conjugates of 4,5α-epoxy-6,14- endo -ethenomorphinans with bioactive molecules.
