High-Power Source of Narrow-Band Radiation Based on Integrated External-Cavity Laser Diodes

— A narrow-band source of 779-nm radiation with a total power above 35 W and a spectral width of no more than 0.1 nm has been obtained by integrating 24 external-cavity laser diodes. Description
Summary:— A narrow-band source of 779-nm radiation with a total power above 35 W and a spectral width of no more than 0.1 nm has been obtained by integrating 24 external-cavity laser diodes. The use of a volume phase grating as a spectrally selective element in the source makes it possible to reduce the spectral width to 0.02 nm and less.
