A Method for Calculating Process-Induced Stresses to Prevent Warping of Products of Composite Materials

The problem of residual stresses that arise during the curing of products of polymer composite materials and cause warping (warpage) is considered. A calculation model is proposed that allows for the prediction of residual strains and design of predictive molding tools. The approach developed ensure...

Description
Summary:The problem of residual stresses that arise during the curing of products of polymer composite materials and cause warping (warpage) is considered. A calculation model is proposed that allows for the prediction of residual strains and design of predictive molding tools. The approach developed ensures a high accuracy of manufacturing articles of polymer composite materials. The influence of the model parameters on the accuracy of the results has been analyzed.
