Description
Summary:In this paper, we have formulated a non-linear HIV/AIDS epidemic model with awareness and treatment. For our convenient study, we have incorporated a new compartment, that is pre-AIDS compartment P. First, we notice the equilibrium points and criticize its stability. The disease persists or fade-out totally depends on the basic reproductive number R 0 . We have calculated the basic reproductive number by using next generation matrix technique. The main motive of our consideration is to describe the role of treatment and awareness. From our detailed study we have examined some sensitive parameters which decrease the disease transmission. Finally, we conclude that if we increase the treatment rate and awareness about the disease transmission, then the spread of the disease can decrease, however, due to the negligence of treatment it can increase. We have solved our proposed model numerically with the help of suitable technique which justifies our desirable analytical results.
