Description
Summary:Ivanovsky Institute of Virology, Moscow, USSR A method has been developed for selection of revertants present at low frequency in a population of fowl plague virus. It was based on the differences in elution from DEAE-cellulose columns of the original large-plaque variant (S + ) and polycation-dependent plaque-size mutants (S - ). It was possible to estimate low frequencies of revertants in this way. Received 24 February 1972; accepted 8 June 1972.
