Summary: | In this work we propose a method for simultaneously determining the electric charge and the mass of a particle. After crossing a conductor ring, the charge particle is deviated from its trajectory by a transversal electric field, and then it runs through a half-ring conductor. The voltage induced in the complete ring is proportional to the charge of the particle, and the ratio of the amplitudes of the signals in the ring and half-ring is a function of its mass. Time interval between pulses determines the mean velocity of the particle. |
