Description
Summary:The relativistic equations for the radial oscillations of warm cores in neutron stars are solved under the assumption of a law for the interior distribution of temperature which results from the condition of relativistic thermal equilibrium. The present work is restricted to the fundamental mode which furnishes the information about the stability of the star. The results of central temperature versus density allow the definition of regions of stability. The frequency of the fundamental mode of the radial oscillation is shown to be a decreasing function of T sub c. (R.R.)
