Curarea crassa
Barneby was described more than two decades ago as an endemic species to the State of Bahia. Recent fieldwork and herbarium studies revealed the first records of
C. crassa
for the States of Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro, Southeastern Brazil. An extended morphological description for this species is provided, along with updated data on its geographical distribution, phenology and conservation status. Additionally, the first photographic documentation of the live plant is presented. |
