Description
Summary:We introduce a simple formula for the energy level density of even–even nuclei in the region of rare-earth and actinide elements. The method used assumes equidistance spacing of collective simple rotational states involving higher excitations. The values of the parameter employed in the model regarding density of rotational 2 + states are consistent with the compiled values of the level density parameter used in the Bethe theory especially in the rare-earth region.
