Summary: | Persistent access to library spaces and collections with limited staffing due to budget constraints can easily transition into a circulation nightmare. A lack of information control can result in materials being removed with no record of current location or usage data. A dedicated focus on student integrity combined with the leveraging of new but familiar technologies allowed the Medical Sciences Library of Texas A&M University to overcome both physical and fiscal barriers. In addition, the novel method of capturing circulation usage allowed for expanded services and opportunities for additional interactions with library users. |
