Summary: | Kujundzic introduces two essays by two Js: J. Hillis Miller and Jacques Derrida. He says that it would be presumptuous to attempt to introduce the work of Miller and Derrida in the few pages generously given to him to provide some minimal context for their essays--both are authors of colossal opuses, distinctive from each other, singular and inimitable but they are also superimposed, just as in the opening pages of Derrida's "Justices," where the j of the je disappears into the other. Kujundzic traces the point of contact between the two texts, precisely there where the question or the argument touches upon an opening taste of the other, as if in a kiss. |
