MRI revealed marrow fluid collection at distal femoral diaphysis, consistent with osteomyelitis; initial biopsy culture resulted as Aspergillus sp. Methods and timing of fungal identification, adherence, age, and osteomyelitis anatomic location are variables that may contribute to clinical outcomes.
