Description
Summary:The results of a project concerning compact two-stream superheterodyne free electron lasers (TSFEL), which can be constructed on the basis of MLIA-accelerators (multi-channel linear induction accelerators), are presented. A specific characteristic of the considered system is that the intensive relativistic electron beam source is constructed on the basis of a two-beam MLIA-accelerator. The design-scheme of the compact MLIA-accelerator is proposed and analyzed. It is shown that the main merit of the studied devices is their potential compactness.
