Compact and Single-Shot Approach to Measure the Transmission Axis Orientation of a Linear Polarizer

This work is to demonstrate a simple and compact approach to locate the transmission axis of a linear polarizer. It shows superiorities in: 1) extremely simple configuration (single chip & single-path & single-shot); 2) neither pre-calibration nor reference polarizer; 3) fast measurement and...

Description
Summary:This work is to demonstrate a simple and compact approach to locate the transmission axis of a linear polarizer. It shows superiorities in: 1) extremely simple configuration (single chip & single-path & single-shot); 2) neither pre-calibration nor reference polarizer; 3) fast measurement and automatic processing. We show the theoretical principle and experimental verification. The experiment results verify that this approach owns high accuracy and high stability.
