Summary:This article presents a review of current modern research on the use of botulinum toxin therapy for the prevention and treatment of patients with chronic migraine, as well as briefly outlines current views on the pathogenesis of migraine, its impact on quality of life and patients' ability to work. Botulinum toxin A is currently the drug of first choice for the treatment of chronic migraine. Numerous studies confirm the effectiveness and safety of its use in clinical practice.
