A phototransistor optical isolator noise model

A noise model for the phototransistor optical isolator is presented and used to predict optical isolator noise performance. Results are shown to agree with existing experimental data on phototransistor optical isolator noise. The model presented includes burst noise, flicker noise and shot noise.
