Formation of submicron structures on the surface of zirconium dioxide under illumination of nanosecond laser

The possibility of submicron structure formation on the surface of ZrO 2 under excimer nanosecond ArF laser (λ = 193 nm) irradiation is shown. A model for the surface nanostructure formation in the course of laser infusion of solids is proposed.
