Proxy paradox for P-prediction
Researchers have found evidence for substantial changes in phosphorus (P)-burial in sediment cores retrieved from the equatorial Pacific Ocean. They argue that these changes could reflect a net drop in riverine P-input to the global ocean during the Neogene period.
