Summary: | The growing volumes of machinery production from fibrous polymer composite materials (PCMs) are due to the possibility of producing relatively small mass products with preset physical and mechanical, thermophysical, dielectric and many other properties, which makes it possible to ensure their high competitiveness compared to metal and metal alloy products. This article presents the results of a review of the main defects that occur during the machining of machine parts made of fibrous PCMs, as well as ways to prevent their occurrence and improve the quality of machined surfaces. Much attention is paid to obtaining holes in machine parts from fibrous PCMs. Based on the assessment of the submitted data, it was concluded that increasing the efficiency of mechanical processing of fibrous PCM machine parts and ensuring the durability of such parts is possible when implementing an integrated approach to the mechanical processing with allowance for the individual characteristics of various fibrous PCMs. |
