Algal flora of some ponds of Kanpur

The algal flora of two ponds in Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, India, were examined. One pond is a temporary rain water pond, the other a permanent one. 44 forms of algae, mainly Myxophyceae and Chlorophyceae have been identified.
