Summary:	Two complementary patient cases are presented to highlight the importance of estrogen receptor (ER)-targeting imaging in treatment planning and selection for endocrine therapy in breast cancer patients. This article will discuss the radiopharmaceuticals and biology, imaging interpretation, and current clinical applications of ER-targeting imaging using fluorine 18 fluoroestradiol PET.
